Clearview Flying Club is a Maryland-based, IRS recognized 501(c)(7) non-profit corporation based at the privately owned (but available for public use) Clearview Airpark (2W2) located in Westminster, MD. The club was formed in 2016 by a group of aviation enthusiasts who have been flying out of 2W2 for many years, including Walt Tegeler (the current club president).
Walt and the others started the Clearview Flying Club to encourage people to get into aviation and bring life back to a small airport in rural Maryland. “Our goal was to build aviation,” Walt said. “That’s what we’ve done. We’ve got a lot of young people and people who never flew before.”
The club is actively engaged with it’s members through the event calendar (which you can subscribe to and link with your Gmail or Outlook calendar), social media, email, Groups.io (an email-based message board), and Aircraft Clubs (a plane scheduler for the club). With all of these options, you’ll be sure to stay involved.
